NEW YORK — Aquarium Shop, a New York City-based retail shop, is opening its first store in the Bronx next month.

The store, which is being dubbed Aquarium, is expected to open its doors in East Greenwich Village in September.

The shop is scheduled to open in the West Village by late next month, the store’s co-owner says.

The store has been on the market since December of 2015.

Owner Joe Sibardi, an avid aquarium enthusiast, said the store is designed to complement the Aquarium in Greenwich Village.

“We are opening the store on the East Side in Greenwich, Brooklyn, and we are going to do everything possible to give a wide range of our products to people in New York,” he told WCBS 880.

Sibardi added that his store will be a “super-special” store for New Yorkers.

It will be open to the public, but not for a special day like Halloween.
